Video: GNAC Contests to Be Streamed For Free

Sept. 1, 2009

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Great Northwest Athletic Conference has signed an agreement with Penn Atlantic Inc. to video stream conference athletic events during the 2009-10 season, GNAC Commissioner Richard Hannan announced Tuesday.

The streaming program was approved unanimously earlier this fall by the GNAC CEO Board. Penn Atlantic is a Charleston, South Carolina-based communications and media company focused on creating, aggregating and delivering information and entertainment to a broad range of audiences across the world.

All contests are available free at http://www.greatnorthwest.tv.

Most GNAC home volleyball and men's and women's basketball games and selected other contests, including men's and women's home soccer contests at Montana State University Billings and home football games at Central Washington University and Western Oregon University will be streamed.

"We are excited to join with Penn Atlantic to make most of our home athletic contests available at no charge to the fans, alumni and friends of our nine member institutions," Hannan said.

GNAC members schools include the University of Alaska Anchorage, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Montana State University Billings, Northwest Nazarene University (Idaho), Western Oregon University, Western Washington University, Central Washington University, Saint Martin's University (Wash.) and Seattle Pacific University (Wash.).
