BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Western Washington University will host its annual Viking Night fundraiser on May 7, 2026, at the Four Points by Sheraton Bellingham Hotel & Conference Center.
The event is open to the public and will feature keynote speaker Tony Bennett, former head coach at the University of Virginia, leader of the 2019 NCAA Division I National Championship team, and UVA's all-time winningest coach.
Bennett is widely respected for building championship-caliber teams grounded in leadership, discipline, and character. His remarks will offer insight into high-performance leadership, teamwork, and resilience—themes that resonate well beyond athletics.
Viking Night brings together alumni, community members, corporate partners and supporters of WWU Athletics for an evening celebrating Viking pride while raising support for student-athletes. Proceeds from the event directly benefit WWU student-athletes, helping ensure they excel both in competition and in the classroom.
