BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Guard Jaamon Echols (Jr., Seattle/Rainier Beach) had a team-high 20 points and added six rebounds and five assists as Western Washington University rolled past Multnomah University, 108-75, in a non-conference men's basketball game on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Sam Carver Gymnasium on the WWU campus.

Forward Jeffrey Parker (So., Richmond, CA/Salesian) added 19 points and a career-high 15 rebounds for the Vikings, who improved to 3-2.

The game was a non-counting exhibition for Multnomah. Jordan Parris led the Lions with a game-high 21 points.

WWU never trailed, jumping to an 11-4 lead less than four minutes into game. The margin was still just seven, 34-27, but the Vikings closed the half with a 17-5 burst and led 51-32 at halftime.

The margin was never less than 26 in the second half.

Forward Joey Schreiber (So., Renton/Eastside Catholic) had 17 points and guard Ricardo Maxwell (Jr., Cincinnati, OH/Withrow) added 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Vikings, who had a 60-36 advantage on the boards.

Michael Kamlade had 13 points for Multnomah. Hudson Van Allen added 11 points and Tanner Shula had 10.

The Vikings host Douglas College BC on Saturday, Nov. 29 (2:30 p.m.).
