BELLINGHAM, Wash. -
The Western Washington Women's Soccer team will meet Azusa Pacific in the West Region final Thursday at 7:30 pm at Harrington Field on the Western Washington University campus.

The Vikings (19-1-1) are coming off a 1-0 win over Seattle Pacific Saturday in Bellingham. Senior forward Catherine Miles (Anacortes, WA) scored the game-winning goal with under five minutes remaining in the game. The Vikings have a current 18-match unbeaten streak and are ranked No. 2 in the latest NCAA Division II coaches' poll.

"We love being at home...it is a huge advantage for us," said head coach and GNAC Coach of the Year Travis Connell. "The support we had during the game vs. SPU was huge. They really get into the game and pushed us along in key moments. This will be a fun atmosphere for our team and we are looking forward to the challenge."

Azusa Pacific (16-2) advanced to the West Region final by beating Sonoma State 1-0. The Cougars have won 11 consecutive games and entered the postseason ranked No. 23 in the nation.

Harrington Field will serve as host for the West Region and South Central Region Final of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament Thursday (5 pm & 7:30 pm) and Saturday (1 pm). The winner of Saturday's quarterfinal matchup will meet the winner of the Central/Midwest winner in the NCAA Final Four (semifinal) Dec. 3 in Pensacola, Fla.
