BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Led by a game-high 20 points by junior forward Jeffrey Parker, five Western Washington players scored in double-digits to lead the Vikings to a lopsided 92-53 victory over Flagler College Friday night in a non-conference college basketball game at Whatcom Pavilion.

The Vikings improved to 4-2 on the season, bouncing back from a tough 93-80 loss to BYU Hawaii on Wednesday. Flagler, out of St Augustine, Fla., falls to 1-2 in the young season.

Parker (Richmond, CA/Salesian) again led the Vikings in scoring with 20 points in 28 minutes, shooting 5-for-9 from the field (3-for-7 3-pointers). Parker leads the team averaging 20.8 points per game.

A balanced team effort also saw senior point guard Ricardo Maxwell (Cincinnati, OH/Withrow/Edmonds CC) contribute 14 points and 5 assists, redshirt sophomore Brett Kingma (Mill Creek, WA/Jackson/Oregon) 13 points (3 3-pointers), senior center Mac Johnson (Spokane, WA/Gonzaga Prep/Mount Hood CC) 13 points (8 rebounds) and senior guard Kyle Impero (Everson, WA/Nooksack Valley/Whatcom CC) 13 points. Senior forward Colby Mitchell (Chugiak, AK/Mt. Hood CC) added a team-high 11 rebounds.

"We came out today with energy and fire...and I think that was missing from our last game," said fourth-year head coach Tony Dominguez. "We had good balance and really shared the ball. Everybody contributed and brought something different to the court tonight. That was nice to see."

Western built an early lead scoring the first 14 points of the game and never looked back. The Vikings led 35-19 at half, with Maxwell leading all players with 11 first-half points.

WWU hit on 51.6% of its shots (33-for-64), including 9-for-26 from 3-point range and 17-for-23 (73.9%) from the free throw line. The Vikings had a 21-11 assist to turnover ratio.

Flagler was led by 14 points by freshman guard Vaughn McCall. Overall the Saints shot just 33.3% from the field, including 5-for-20 from 3-point range.

The Vikings travel to Hawai'i for Thanksgiving break facing Grace Bible (Friday, Nov. 27) and Hawaii Pacific (Sunday, Nov. 28) in Honolulu.
