MOUNT VERNON, Wash. -- Western Washington junior forward Jeffrey Parker scored 22 points and redshirt freshman forward Trey Drechsel added 20 points and 11 rebounds for his first career double-double to lead the Vikings to a 83-66 victory over Northwest Nazarene Saturday night in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's basketball game at Skagit Valley College.

The Vikings (15-12, 9-9) snapped their five-game losing streak to pull even at 9-9 in GNAC play. Northwest Nazarene falls to 8-16 overall and 4-14 in GNAC play.

Parker (Richmond, CA/Salesian) and Drechsel (Woodinville, WA/Cedar Park Christian) led a group of five Vikings in double figures. Senior guard Kyle Impero (Everson, WA/Nooksack Valley/Whatcom CC) recorded his second consecutive double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds (3rd of the season, 4th of his career).

Senior guard Ricardo Maxwell (Cincinnati, OH/Withrow/Edmonds CC) added 13 points and 8 assists and sophomore guard Brad Wallace (Lacey, WA/River Ridge/North Idaho) scored 11 points (three 3-pointers).

"The guys played well, they were very electric," said head coach Tony Dominguez. "We hustled, we were quick to their shooters and we made the extra pass. We did a good job tonight."

Bouna N'Diaye led NNU scoring a game-high 23 points connecting on 9 of 15 shots.

Holding a 10-point lead at halftime (36-26), the Vikings poured it on with a dominating second half. Leading by 11 at 40-29 with 16:34 to play, the Vikings went on a 19-0 run over a 4-minute span to build a 30-point lead at 59-29. NNU answered with a 13-2 run, but would never get closer than a 15-point deficit. WWU out-scored the Crusaders 47-40 in the second half.

The Vikings came out of the gates firing on all cylinders taking an early 12-4 lead and never looked back. WWU built a 14-point lead at 36-22 and went into the half with a 10-point lead 36-26. Parker and Drechsel each scored 10 points, with Maxwell contributing 9 points.

The Vikings close out the regular season next week on the road at Seattle Pacific (Thursday, 7 pm) and Saint Martin's (Saturday, 7 pm).

Notable: Jeffrey Parker moved into the No. 14 spot on the WWU career points list with 1,292, passing Rory Blanche (1,273).
