REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - The Western Washington University women's rowing team completed competition at Redwood Shores Lagoon Sunday racing against UC Santa Barbara.

The Vikings, ranked No. 7 in the recent NCAA Division II CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll - presented by Pocock Racing Shells, defeated the Gauchos in the Varsity 8 matchup completing the course in 7:13.3, over a 2-second advantage over UCSB (7:15.8).

WWU was edged in the 2nd Varsity 8 race 7:43.5 to 7:45.0.

The 3rd Varsity 8 race was scratched due to illness
