April 18, 2016 BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Former Western Washington University All-American runner Sarah Crouch (Porter) finished 11th among women (97th overall) and was 2nd amongst USA runners in the 2016 Boston Marathon with a time of 2:37.36.
Crouch (Hockinson, WA) competed for the Vikings in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track from 2007-11. She was a 13-time USTFCCCA All-American and a three-time selection as the WWU Female Athlete of the Year.
In Monday's Boston Marathon she finished the 26.2 mile trek in 2:37.36 to finish 11th among women and 97th overall. She was the second U.S. female finisher trailing only her college rival Neely Spence Gracey (Shippensburg), who was 9th overall in 2:35.00.
Crouch is scheduled to be a guest on Bellingham's sports leader KPUG 1170 AM "The Zone" during the 4 pm hour today.
