April 2, 2016 SEATTLE, Wash. - The Western Washington University Women's Rowing program was represented by the Novice 8 at the Husky Open on Montlake Cut.
The Novice 8 finished 2nd in the first race of the competition, completing the course in 7:29.786. Washington won the race in 7:09.740 and Seattle University was 3rd in 7:46.542.
The Vikings are ranked No. 3 in the most recent NCAA Division II CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll - presented by Pocock Racing Shells.
The Vikings return to the water next Saturday at the Covered Bridge Regatta on Dexter Lake 15 miles southeast of Eugene, Oregon.
