SEATTLE, Wash. -- The Western Washington University women's rowing squad raced its 2V8 and 3V8 lineups in Saturday's 30th Annual Windermere Cup on Montlake Cut.
WWU's entries finished in 4th place in each of its races, going up against Division I competition. The 2V8 boat finished the 2,000m Erickson Cascade Cup in 7:17.718, trailing two entries from the University of Washington and the University of San Diego.
The 3V8 finished the course in 7:35.119 trailing UW, University of Portland and Seattle University.
The Vikings are ranked No. 1 in the V4, V8 and overall in the NCAA II West Region Rankings and listed 5th in the recent NCAA Division II CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll.
The NCAA Division II selections will be held on May 16 (2 pm) with the national championships being held May 27-29 on Lake Natoma.
