BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- WWU Athletics Hall of Famer and standout women's soccer player Cindy Gordon has been named to the Washington Youth Soccer Female Top 18 team.

As part of the 50th Anniversary of Washington Youth Soccer, a panel of long-time, Washington soccer experts created the best roster of 18 women that the state has produced. The list of All-Time women's players features local high school and collegiate stars, professional and U.S. National Team standouts, and the FIFA Player of the Century.

Gordon starred for the Vikings from 1981-84, during which the program boasted a posted 49-5-5 record, including 38-game winning streak. Following her collegiate career in which she scored 50 goals, Gordon went on to play for the 1985 and 1986 U.S. National Team.

She was selected to the WWU Athletics Hall of Fame in 1999.
