BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Western Washington University Athletics has announced the addition of a new text alert service that will send final scores of all WWU NCAA Division II athletic events directly to your mobile device.

The Western Washington University Athletics text message (SMS) notification system for final scores and results is provided through Twitter and is designed to keep WWU fans up to date with the latest results for all WWU NCAA Division II sports. Final scores will be sent as soon as possible following the conclusion of contests, typically within five minutes of the end of the event.

Fans can subscribe to the service free of charge by texting Follow WWUScores to 40404. Please note, standard text message rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and service plan.

It is not necessary to have a Twitter account in order to subscribe. Fans can subscribe and unsubscribe to the service at any time.

WWU Athletics provides content to fans via WWUVikings.com, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. The @WWUScores Twitter account, which will provide the text alerts, is an additional manner in which to follow the Vikings and will be solely used to post and share final scores of WWU Athletics contests.
