Tournament Results

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Western Washington University women's golf team finished in 6th place at the 15-team PLNU Reach 2017 hosted Monday and Tuesday by Point Loma Nazarene University at Riverwalk Golf Club.

The Vikings finished the 36-hole tournament at 75 over par, turning in scores of 325 (+37) and 326 (+38). California Baptist took home the team title at +29 (605).

Junior Jenn Paul (Bellingham, WA) started the day in a tie for 10th place, but slipped to a tie for 16th at 13-over-par for the tournament after shooting a 7-over-par 79 on Tuesday. Paul fired rounds of 78 and 79 to notch her 5th top 20 performance of the 2016-17 season.

Erica Wang of Cal Baptist won individual medalist honors shooting even-par 144 for the tournament.

WWU's spring schedule features four tournament before the GNAC Championships are held on April 24-25 at Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Following the tournament in San Diego, WWU will next be in action March 6-7 at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo, California.
