March 6, 2018 Final Tournament Results 
PLEASANTON, Calif. - Western Washington University senior Jenn Paul tied for 11th place to lead the Vikings to a 12th-place finish at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout hosted by Cal State East Bay Monday and Tuesday at Callippe Preserve Golf Course. Paul (Bellingham, WA) carded back-to-back rounds of 6-over-par 78 to finish at 12-over-par 156 in the 36-hole tournament.
The Vikings placed 12th in the 17-team field with rounds of 330 on Monday and 327 on Tuesday to finish the tournament with a team score of 81-over-par (657).
California Baptist recorded a 3-stroke victory for the team title at 35-over-par 611, edging Academy of Art (+38, 614) and Cal State San Marcos (+42, 618). Jamie Jacob of Cal State San Marcos won individual medalist honors with a two-round total of 3-over-par 147, one strike better than Sterling Hawkins of Academy of Art (+4, 148).
In addition to Paul's top 15 finish, junior Stephanie Sewell (Kent, WA/Kentridge) tied for 44th at +21 (81-84=165) and junior Annie Leete (Oak Harbor, WA) tied for 52nd at +26 (84-84=168). WWU has one more spring tournament playing in the Mustang Intercollegiate April 9-10 in Goodyear, Ariz., prior to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships that will be held April 23-24 at the Coeur d'Alene Golf Resort in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
