2018-19 SEASON IN REVIEW

The Vikings completed the 2018-19 season with a 15-15 overall record and tied for 6th in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a 9-11 league record…missed qualifying for the GNAC Championships hosted by WWU in Carver Gym via tiebreaker, the first time the Vikings have not played in the GNAC Tournament…had a string of 10 consecutive seasons advancing to the postseason snapped (GNAC or NCAA)…had a string of eight consecutive 20-win seasons snapped, but have finished .500 or better in each of the last 12 seasons…started the year 7-2, with only losses to nationally-ranked UC San Diego and Western Oregon, but went 1-5 over a six-game stretch Dec. 16-Jan. 10…opened the season ranked No. 14 in the NABC Preseason Coaches Poll and remained in the national top 20 until the month of December…finished the season with six games in 14 days, including road contests in Montana, Alaska and Canada (went 3-3)…went 8-5 in Carver Gym, 4-7 on the road and 3-3 in neutral-site games (0-3 at Hoops in Hawai'i D2 Power Invitational).
