SEATTLE, Wash. - The Western Washington University women's rowing team fielded a novice crew in the 3V8+ race at Saturday's Husky Open on Montlake Cut.
The Vikings finished the 2,000-meter course in 7:21.311, placing behind Seattle Pacific (7:11.844), Lewis and Clark (7:14.907) and Seattle University (7:17.827).
The Vikings crew consisted of the following student-athletes:
WWU's Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 crews raced at the Central Sprints Friday night and had its scheduled Saturday races canceled due to inclement weather in Oklahoma City.
The Vikings return to action April 27-28 at the WIRA Championships on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, California.
