BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The NCAA Division II women's basketball game between Western Washington University and Dominican University scheduled for Thursday evening in San Rafael, California has been canceled following health and safety protocols not pertaining to the WWU team.
 
Out of an abundance of caution, WWU and Dominican mutually agreed not to play the non-conference game that was set for a 5:30 pm tip-off inside the Conlan Center. The game will not be made up.
 
The Vikings will complete their Bay Area road trip Friday evening against Holy Names University with tip-off at 5:30 pm in Tobin Gymnasium in Oakland.
 
WWU is off to an 8-0 start to the season with six of those wins coming on the road and have risen to No. 8 (D2SIDA) and No. 10 (WBCA) in the national rankings. The Vikings return home following a short holiday break to host Western Oregon (Dec. 30, 7 pm) and Saint Martin's (Jan. 1, 7 pm) on WECU Court in Carver Gym.
