BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Beginning with this week's basketball games, Western Washington University will welcome fans back in the stands for home athletic events in Carver Gym.

The WWU Fan Policy requiring proof of vaccination for all fans five-and-older or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event remain in effect to gain admission into the game. Game management staff will check for CDC-issued vaccination cards (or a picture of a vaccination card) and paperwork on a healthcare-administered COVID test.

All fans, regardless of vaccination status, must wear face coverings over their nose and mouth while inside the venue. Masks may be adjusted while actively eating or drinking. If a fan forgot their mask, there will be one available at the entrance of the venue.

The men's basketball team returns to action with three upcoming games on WECU Court in Carver Gym on the WWU campus, beginning with a Thursday game vs. Northwest Nazarene (Jan. 27) and Saturday's rivalry game vs. Central Washington (Jan. 29). The Vikings will also host Alaska Anchorage on Monday (Jan. 31). All remaining WWU home basketball games feature a 7 pm tip-off.

Western's nationally-ranked women's basketball team returns home after a four-game road trip the first week of February, hosting Seattle Pacific (Thursday, Feb. 3) and Montana State Billings (Saturday, Feb. 5).

Fans wishing to purchase tickets in advance can do so online at wwuvikings.com/Tickets or purchase in person beginning one hour prior to tip-off at the Carver Gym Box Office. A complete listing of upcoming WWU Athletics events is available online at wwuvikings.com/Schedule.
