HONOLULU – Due to health and safety protocols within the Chaminade University women's basketball program, Monday's scheduled game against Western Washington University in the Hoops in Hawai'i Classic has been canceled.
The game was scheduled to tip-off at 6:15 pm HT/8:15 pm PT inside the Shark Tank, but was canceled early in the afternoon. WWU went 2-0 during the Hoops in Hawai'i Classic with wins over Hawai'i Pacific (77-70) and Fairmont State (76-63).
It was just under three years ago when the Vikings were in the same location and the 2020 NCAA Championships West Regional was canceled at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Vikings are 7-1 overall and ranked No. 8 (D2SIDA – Media) and No. 10 (WBCA – Coaches) in the nation. WWU returns home to close out the calendar year hosting Alaska Anchorage (12/29, 7 pm) and Alaska Fairbanks (12/31, 2 pm) in GNAC play on WECU Court in Carver Gym.
