The Vikings out-hit the Eagles 8-3 and were perfect in the field to secure the low-scoring victory. Six of the nine Vikings batters in the game tallied a hit.

The Eagles opened the scoring in the bottom of the 2nd inning, taking a 1-0 lead on an RBI double from senior Jessica Nunes.
The Vikings had traffic on the basepaths for most of the game, but their scoring breakthrough wouldn't come until the 5th inning. A two-out, two-RBI double to right-center field from senior Dakota Brooks gave Western a 2-1 lead that they would not relinquish.
