Vikings Blow Past Douglas College 119-65

Will Wilson led seven Vikings in double-digit scoring with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University men's basketball team had seven players score in double-digits in a point victory over Douglas College, 119-65, Tuesday evening on WECU Court in Carver Gym.

 

The Vikings combined to shoot 61.0-percent in the game connecting on 47-of-77 shots and recorded the most steals (24) and assists (35) in a game during the NCAA era (since 1998-99). WWU improved to 6-1 on the season with its next games in early December opening Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.

 

Senior guard Will Wilson led WWU's big scoring effort with 24 points on 9-for-13 shooting (3-4 3FG) and also had five rebounds, five assists, three steals and one blocked shot.

 

Freshman forward Trevor White added 18 points on 8-for-11 shooting and junior forward Dajon Lott neared a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore forward Jordan Tate scored a career-high 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting and sophomore guard Louis Grante-Halliday added 13 points in 17 minutes. Freshman Aidan Rice had 12 points and redshirt freshman guard Grant Kepley almost secured a double-double with 10 points and nine assists.

 

The Vikings combined to shoot 61.0-percent overall (47-for-77) and were 11-for-25 from beyond the arc.

 

Douglas College was led by 16 points by Hunter Thomson (5-for-11 FG, 4-for-3 3FG) and 15 points from Lorenzo Bonamin (7-for-12 FG).
