BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The Western Washington University women's basketball team returns to action after a 13-day break playing in a pair of games at the CWU Thanksgiving Tournament in Ellensburg.

The Vikings (2-3) face Biola (0-5) on Friday and Westminster (1-3) on Saturday inside Nicholson Arena on the campus of Central Washington University with both games scheduled to tip-off at noon. Ticket and parking information is available at WildcatSports.com and both games will stream live (and free) online with direct links at wwuvikings.com/Live.

WWU is 2-3 on the season and was last in action November 15-16 at the SPU Crossover Classic in Seattle, falling to nationally-ranked Azusa Pacific (88-77) and defeating Cal State San Marcos (65-48).

Western has battled the injury bug through the early part of the season with sophomore transfer guard Libby Stump, junior transfer forward Ellie Croco and senior forward Apsen Garrison currently out. To help with the depleted roster, junior volleyball student-athlete Anna VanderYacht has joined the roster for the remainder of the season. The Lynden High School product is expected to make her hardwood debut this weekend in Ellensburg.

Through the first five games of the season junior forward Alyson Deaver leads the Vikings averaging 13.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, with senior guard Olivia Wikstrom close behind with 13.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Junior guard Mason Oberg is also averaging double-digits with 12.4 points per game and sophomore guard Demi Dykstra is contributing 8.4 points per game and a team-best 4.4 assists per game.

Following the Thanksgiving holiday tournament in Ellensburg, the Vikings return home to open GNAC play hosting nationally-ranked Montana State Billings (Thursday, Dec. 5) and Seattle Pacific (Saturday, Dec. 7) with tip-off at 7 pm on WECU Court in Carver Gym.
