WWU had eight student-athlete earn their third GNAC All-Academic award

Vikings Lead GNAC With 16 All-Academic Selections

Morgan Manalili and Kascia Muscutt lead WWU selections with perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University women's soccer team had a conference-best 16 student-athletes selected to the 2025 GNAC All-Academic team.

Combining academic excellence with standout performances on the pitch, WWU has led the GNAC in all-academic selections each of the last two seasons also having 16 award winners in during the conference championship winning season in 2024.


The 16 selections were led by two student-athletes with a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA and eight players earning their third academic all-star honor.


Senior student-athletes Morgan Manalili (Math/Computer Science) and Kascia Muscutt (Kinesiology) were part of eight GNAC student-athletes to have a perfect 4.00 GPA. Manalili was awarded the WWU Scholar Athlete Award for 2024-25.

Along with Manalili and Muscutt, six additional senior WWU student- athletes became three-time GNAC All-Academic selections, including 
Asia Hardin (3.88, Management), Alisa Harmer (3.55, Japanese), Claire Potter (3.99, Bio Chemistry), Minji Rauch (3.39 Marketing), Emily Rice (3.99, Marketing) and Abby Succi (3.63, Marine & Costal Science).

WWU's 16 award winners led the GNAC, bettering Central Washington and Seattle Pacific which both had 15 award winners. The 2025 GNAC Women's Soccer All-Academic team featured 88 student-athletes, with 21 earning their third award and 45 repeat winners.

In addition to the academic accolades, WWU is having another fine season on the field with a current national ranking of No. 18 in the country. The Vikings are 7-1-3 overall with a current eight-game unbeaten streak (7-0-1) and is tied for the top spot in the GNAC table with a 5-0-1 record (16 points).


To qualify for academic all-conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20, must be in at least their second season competing for their team and must have competed on the course during the 2025 campaign. First-year freshman and redshirt freshman are not eligible for the academic all-conference team.
