Potter has started all 13 games this season ranking second on the team with five goals and has three assists.
This marks the second GNAC Player of the Week award for Potter and the first since her freshman season in 2022. WWU has had a conference Player of the Week selection in each of the last three weeks with Manalili (Sept. 29-Oct. 5) and
Asia Hardin (Oct. 6-12) also earning honors.
"Claire is one of the engines of our team," said WWU head coach
Travis Connell. "She is relentless in her pursuit of plays that can tip a game into our favor. Her three goal contributions last weekend were a prime example of this."
Coming off two victories last week, the Vikings are riding a six-game winning streak and 10-game unbeaten streak (9-0-1) to stand at 9-1-3 overall and in first place in the GNAC with 22 points (7-0-1). WWU remains on the road this week traveling to play at Saint Martin's on Thursday in Lacey (2 pm) and at Western Oregon on Saturday in Monmouth (7 pm).
