BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University women's basketball team announced six program additions for the 2025-26 season.
Head coach Carmen Dolfo adds four transfers and a pair of high school players to the program that will debut during the upcoming 2025-26 season.
"I am excited about our group of players joining the program, providing a great balance with our returning players," said Dolfo. "Each player brings a different and unique skillset to the court and we are looking forward to them working hard and joining the Viking family."
The Vikings are coming off a 18-11 campaign while reaching the GNAC semifinal round. WWU has advanced to the NCAA Championships in four of the last five seasons, posting a 119-37 (.763) record over this span. The program has finished with a .500 or better record in 16 of the last 17 seasons.

VIVIENNE BERRETT » Center » Stanwood, WA » Stanwood High School » Univ. of Hawai'i
Berrett is a 6-4 post player that had a standout prep career at Stanwood High School before playing two seasons at the University of Hawai'i. Berrett has three years of eligibility remaining heading into 2025-26 in her first season with the Vikings. At Hawai'i Berrett appeared in 18 games as a true freshman in 2023-24, averaging 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. She did not appear last season utilizing a redshirt season. Her Stanwood career included being selected as the Snohomish County Player of the Year in 2023 and a First Team All-State selection following her senior season. She Averaged 19.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and two assists per game as a senior and 14 points, eight rebounds and a block per game as a junior while earning First Team All-Conference honors. Named to the 3A Hardwood Classic second team after averaging 11 points and nine rebounds per game. Also lettered in track and field for two years and cross country for one, qualifying for the state track and field championships in the shot put and placed 10th.

Haltom is a 5-11 guard that transfers to WWU from Portland State where she played in 55 games over her first two collegiate seasons. Haltom averaged 16.0 minutes per game while averaging nearly a steal per game. As a freshman she averaged 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per game with 34 steals. During her standout prep career at Juanita High School Haltom was named the 3A KingCo MVP as a senior in 2023 and was a two-time first-team all-conference selection. During her high school career she scored over 1,000 points. She also earned varsity letters in soccer and track & field all four years, placing 8th in the discus at the state competition and earning all-league honors in soccer. Haltom was a team captain for soccer and basketball during her senior season.
OLIVIA HODGES » Forward » Pasadena, CA » Pasadena High School » Cal State LA
Hodges is a 6-1 forward transferring to Western from Cal State LA with one year of eligibility remaining. Hodges was a key contributor for the Golden Eagles in her three seasons at Cal State LA, appearing in 80 games (28 starts) and averaging 7.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. As a junior in 2024-25 Hodges earned Second Team All-CCAA honors, leading the conference and ranking No. 23 in NCAA Division II averaging 10.3 rebounds per game, recording double-digits in rebounds 13 times, with four games with 19+ rebounds. She nearly averaged a double-double contributing 9.1 points per game and led the Golden Eagles with a 51.1-percent field goal percentage (95-for-186). Over three seasons at CSULA Hodges scored 582 points (7.3 per game) and grabbed 598 rebounds (7.5 per game). Her prep career at Pasadena High School included earning varsity letters in basketball and volleyball, and was voted the league MVP her senior season.

Jackson is a defensive-minded guard transferring to WWU from the University of Nevada with two years of eligibility remaining. Jackson is a local hoops product from Seattle who helped lead Garfield High School to a pair of state championships in 2022 and 2023. In two seasons for the Wolfpack, Jackson appeared in 40 games, making nine starts as a junior. She scored a career-high 11 points against Weber State. At Garfield High School she was a key defensive player with the Bulldogs holding opponents to under 50 points per game during the 3A state playoff run to the title. Her play earned Second Team All-Metro honors. Played AAU for "The Way to Win".
VICTORIA NGUYEN » Guard » Eugene, OR » Willamette High School
Nguyen is a point guard out of Willamette High School in Eugene, Oregon, where she earned all-conference honors as a senior. She helped lead Willamette to the 6A state playoffs as the No. 2 seed in 2025. She was a four-year starter for the Wolverines, advancing to the state tournament each season, including a semifinal appearance as a junior in 2024.
EDEN SANDER » Guard » Spokane, WA » Central Valley High School
Sander is an athletic guard that hails from Central Valley High School in Spokane. As a senior in 2024-25 Sander helped lead Central Valley to the 3A state title. She finished her prep career ranked No. 6 in program history in scoring, was a three-time First Team Greater Spokane League selection and a two-time defensive MVP. Her state championship winning season included earning First Team All-State honors averaging 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.9 steals per game. In addition to her standout career on the hardwood, Sander also played soccer and ran track in high school.
