Game notes on the Vikings making their postseason debut in the GNAC Championships

The GNAC Champion Western Washington University women's basketball team opens postseason play in the GNAC Semifinal as the No. 1 seed, taking on No. 5 Western Oregon University. WWU enters the postseason with an overall 23-6 record and won the conference regular-season title with a 15-3 record to earn the top seed. WWU enters the postseason ranked No. 2 in the West Region.
 
Series History vs. WOU:
WWU swept the series during the regular season, winning 62-57 in Carver Gym on January 1 and pulled away from a 27-26 halftime lead to win 66-44 on the road in Monmouth on January 31. The Vikings have won the last 10 meetings against the Wolves and 31 of the last 33 in the series dating back to the 2008-09 season. WWU is 63-11 all-time vs. WOU.
