Tyler Buchanan is in third season as an Assistant Coach with the WWU Men’s Basketball Program. He will be assisting coaching staff with recruiting, evaluating prospects and advance scouting.
Prior to joining WWU, Buchanan worked one year at Highline College in Des Moines, Washington, serving as recruiting coordinator for the Thunderbirds. HC reached the NWAC tournament for first time since 2015 going 15-13 overall and 7-7 in league play.
Prior to that, Buchanan worked at Arlington High School and served as Assistant Coach & Advance Scout for the Program. His responsibilities were writing detailed scouting reports & defensive game-planning. In his two years with program, the eagles qualified for state regionals both years.
His journey brings him to Bellingham with his intentions to help make impact on young men lives and eventually advance to NBA as Advance Scout or Director of Scouting.
