Before WWU: Product of Central Valley High School in Spokane... As a senior in 2024-25 Sander helped lead Central Valley to the 3A state title. She finished her prep career ranked No. 6 in program history in scoring, was a three-time First Team Greater Spokane League selection and a two-time defensive MVP. Her state championship winning season included earning First Team All-State honors averaging 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.9 steals per game ... In addition to her standout career on the hardwood, Sander also played soccer and ran track in high school.
