SEASIDE, Calif. - The Western Washington University men's golf team dropped three spots to finish in a tie for 8th place at the Otter Fall Invitational hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay Monday and Tuesday at Bayonet Golf Club.

Western entered the final round in 5th place out of 16 teams, but recorded a third-round team score of 307 (+19) to drop to a tie for 8th place with Colorado-Colorado Springs. Lynn University out of Boca Raton, Florida made the cross country trip worthwhile capturing the team title at 1-over-par (865) for the 54-hole tournament.

WWU senior Chris Hatch (Mukilteo, WA/Kamiak) fired a 2-under-par 70 in Tuesday's final round to finish the tournament at 2-over-par 218, tying for 11th place. Hatch turned in a pair of 2-over-par rounds during the first day of the tournament, but moved up from 24th place to record his highest finish of the fall season. Senior Jeffrey Marcum (Richland, WA) was 3-over in his final round to end the tournament in a tie for 27th place at 7-over-par (75-73-75).

Simon Fraser junior Chris Crisologo earned individual medalist honors finishing at 8-under-par (69-68-71) to win his fourth career.
