Feb. 16, 2016 Tournament Results 
LIVERMORE, Calif. - The Western Washington University men's golf team finished in a tie for 3rd place in the East/West Bay Area Invite at The Course at Wente Vineyards.
WWU entered today's final round in first place, but slipped into a tie for 3rd with a 24-over-par 312 in today's final round. The Vikings top four scorers combined for a 54-over-par 918.
Junior Brett Johnson (Ridgefield, WA/Oregon State) was the highest placing Viking finishing in a tie for 5th with a 10-over-par 226 (71-78-77).
Junior Chris Hatch (Mukilteo, WA/Kamiak) finished tied for 10th (+12, 228) and tied for 4th in the 56-player field with 8 birdies. Junior Jeffrey Marcum (Richland, WA/South Mountain CC) tied for 14th at +13 (229) and was tied for 4th in the field with 36 pars.
GNAC foe Saint Martin's captured the team title at +46 for the tournament, while SMU's Ryan Pickthrorn captured medalist honors with a 54-hole total of 4-over-par 220.
The Vikings will not compete again until March 21-22 at the Cal Baptist Spring Break Collegiate at Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, Calif.
