1st & 2nd Round Results 
BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The Western Washington University men's golf team stands in 3rd place after the first two rounds of the 45th Annual WWU Invitational played Monday at Bellingham Golf & Country Club.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with the final round beginning with a shotgun start at 9 am.
WWU was tied for 2nd at the initial conclusion of the first 36 holes of play, but a disqualification from the first round cost the team a pair of strokes to fall into third place. The Vikings are two shots off second-place Chico State (-5, 571) and four shots back of tournament leader British Columbia (-7, 569).
Seniors Brett Johnson (Ridgefield, WA/Oregon State) and Jeffrey Marcum (Richland, WA/South Mountain CC) are tied for the tournament lead in the 96-player field at 6-under par (138). The seniors fired matching rounds of 70-68 on the pare 72, 6,561 layout at Bellingham G&CC. Marcum is playing as an individual, so his scores did not count towards the team total. Johnson and Marcum are tied with Simon Fraser's Chris Crisologo for the individual lead heading into Tuesday's final round.
Freshman Ezra Arneson (Lynden, WA) is tied for 12th place (-1, 143) and sophomore Michael Butler (Sammamish, WA/Skyline/IMG Academy) is tied for 19th (E, 144) to crack the top 20 in the tournament.
Senior Chris Hatch (Mukilteo, WA/Kamiak) would be tied for 30th at 2-over-par, but had his first round disqualified after signing an incorrect scorecard. His score counted towards the second round and will in the third round as well.
