Sept. 27, 2016 Final Tournament Results 
BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The University of British Columbia prevailed as the team champion for the third time in the last four years at the 45th Annual Western Washington University Men's Golf Invitational played Monday and Tuesday at Bellingham Golf & Country Club.
The host Vikings finished in 6th place in the 17-team field with a 54-hole score of 8-over-par 872. British Columbia finished with a team score of 6-under-par 858, adding the team title at the WWU Invite to winning years in 2007, 2013 and 2014. Chico State was the team runner-up at 4-under-par (860), followed by Concordia-OR (E, 864), Cal State Monterey Bay (+5, 869) and the University of Victoria (+5, 869).
Simon Fraser junior Chris Crisologo was the individual medalist in the 96-player field finishing with a 5-under-par 211 (69-69-73) on the par 72 layout. WWU's Brett Johnson (Ridgefield, WA/Oregon State) and Jeffrey Marcum (Richland, WA/South Mountain CC) were tied for 2nd with 54-hole totals of 4-under-par 212.
The Vikings entered the final round in 3rd place, but slipped three spot into 6th place with a final-round of 11-over-par 299. Johnson, Marcum and sophomore Cody Roth (Bellingham, WA) all shot 2-over-par 74 today.
WWU returns to action next week traveling to Chico, California for the Interwest Insurance Wildcat Classic at Butte Creek Country Club.
