1st & 2nd Round Tournament Results 
LIVERMORE, Calif. - Led by freshman Brody Bonfilio, the Western Washington men's golf team is in 5th place after the first two rounds of the NDNU Argonaut Invitational hosted by Notre Dame de Namur University on Monday at Poppy Ridge Golf Course. The Vikings were in 2nd place after the first round recording a 7-over-par 295 in the morning round, but slipped to 5th place dropping 13 strokes with a 20-over-par 308 in the afternoon. Dixie State University is in first place in the 10-team tournament at 10-over-par 586, one strike better than Simon Fraser and Cal State San Bernardino.
Bonfilio (Boise, ID/Bishop Kelly) is tied for 1st place in the 51-player field at 4-under-par 140 for the tournament. The freshman carded a bogey-free 6-under-par 66 in the morning round and finished the 36-hole day with a 2-over-par 74 in the afternoon. He is tied with Cal State San Bernardino junior Cody Hall atop the leaderboard.
WWU junior Michael Butler (Sammamish, WA/Skyline) finished the day in 13th place at +5 for the tournament, recording rounds of 73 (+1) and 76 (+4) on the par 72 layout. Tomorrow's final round will feature a shotgun start at 8 am with WWU starting on holes 6 (Bonfilio), 7 (Butler), 8 (Casto), 9 (Barker) and 10 (Roth).
