BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Off to a 3-0 start to the season – with all games on the road – the No. 13 nationally-ranked Western Washington University women's basketball team is back in action this week with a pair of games in Colorado.
The Vikings complete a season-opening stretch of five consecutive road games with a pair of non-conference contests against opponents from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), Regis University (3-1) and Colorado Christian (2-2). Both games in the Denver area will feature a live (and free) webcast and statistical updates for fans to follow with direct links available at

WWU is coming off a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents in California, defeating then No. 5 Azusa Pacific (73-57) and No. 19 Cal State San Marcos (78-73) at the CSUSM Hoops Classic. Senior guard
Emma Duff and
Dani Iwami, and sophomore forward
Brooke Walling were selected to the all-tournament team.
After receiving votes in both the WBCA Coaches and D2SIDA Media Polls in the preseason, the Vikings moved up to No. 13 in the nation in both national rankings. WWU is also listed No. 2 in the D2SIDA West Region rankings trailing GNAC rival Alaska Anchorage.
Through the first three games, senior guard
Emma Duff leads the Vikings averaging 21.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. Duff has recorded a pair of double-doubles including a 23-point, 12-rebound performance vs. APU. Junior guard
Mollie Olson is averaging 10.3 points per game, senior guard

SERIES HISTORY
Here is a look at the series history between WWU and its opponents this week, Regis and Colorado Christian:
- Regis: WWU is 0-1 against Regis, dropping the only game in the all-time series history 71-57 on November 30, 2001 in a road game.
- Colorado Christian: Vikings lead the all-time series 5-0 with the last meeting a 72-63 win in a neutral-site game in Anaheim California at the Disney DII Tip-Off Classic…WWU is 2-0 all-time in games played in Lakewood vs. the Cougars, tallying wins in 1997 and 2001.
LOTS OF COUGARS
In a random act of scheduling, the Vikings will play a team with a Cougar as a mascot in three of four games. WWU played the Azusa Pacific Cougars and Cal State San Marcos Cougars last week in California, and will face the Colorado Christian Cougars this Saturday. An in-depth online search tells us that there are 19 colleges across the country that have a Cougar as its official mascot, so the Vikings will have played roughly 16% of those schools over a two-week stretch.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE VIKINGS
Following the road trip to Colorado, the Vikings will play consecutive games in Carver Gym for the first two home games of the season. WWU hosts Lincoln University of California on Thursday, December 2 and opens GNAC play on Saturday, December 4 vs. Simon Fraser, with both games tipping off at 7 pm. The Vikings wrap up the non-conference portion of their schedule with a trio of games in the Bay Area, December 14-17, playing three PacWest schools (Academy of Art, Dominican, Holy Names). Senior

She just missed another double-double performance with 18 points and 8 rebounds vs. Cal State San Marcos. Duff now has nine career double-doubles. For the season she is averaging 21.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per game and shooting at a .595 clip (25-for-42). Duff has appeared in 98 career games for the Vikings (72 starts) and scored 926 points (9.4 points/game).
