VANCOUVER, Wash. – Three Western Washington University underclassmen scored goals to lead the Vikings to a 3-0 victory over Western Oregon University on Wednesday in a neutral-site game at the Harmony Sports Complex.
WWU remained undefeated at 2-0-2 during the abbreviated eight-game spring schedule with its eighth consecutive victory over WOU. The Wolves completed their spring schedule with a 1-7-0 overall record.
Sophomore midfielder
Payton Neal got the Vikings on the scoreboard first in the 34
th minute when she collected a blocked shot on the left side of the box and scored just inside the 18-yard box for her first collegiate goal.
Leading 1-0 at the half, the Vikings scored a pair of goals to open the second period with freshman forward

Sophie Butterfield assisted on Carbone's goal off a free kick and reigning GNAC Offensive Player of the Week
Estera Levinte set up Baty with the third score for her second assist of the season (also has two goals).

Grace Wales combined for the Vikings third shutout performance of the season.
WWU out-shot WOU 18-8, while holding a dominating 11-4 edge in shots on target.
