BURNABY, BC – Led by 22 points from redshirt junior guard Micah Winn and 21 points from junior forward Trevor Jasinsky, the No. 14 nationally-ranked Western Washington University men's basketball team erased a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat Humboldt State 81-76 Saturday evening at the Simon Fraser Showdown.
WWU trailed 42-32 at the half, but stormed back to out-score the Lumberjacks 49-34 in the second half. The Vikings out-scored the Lumberjacks 29-12 in the first 10 minutes of the second half to erase the deficit and extended their lead to as many as 14 points at 71-57 with 6:44 remaining in the contest. HSU went on a 19-10 run to end the contest, but couldn't overcome WWU's large second-half scoring output.

The Vikings make their home debut this weekend on WECU Court in Carver Gym, hosting Capilano (Friday) and Langara College (Saturday), with both games tipping off at 2 pm.
