BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Western Washington University men's basketball team recorded a 41-point victory over Langara College Sunday afternoon in non-conference play, defeating the Falcons 102-61.
WWU improved to 5-6 overall winning its second consecutive game coming off a 97-95 conference victory over Central Washington.
Sunday's game provided a chance for the Vikings to show off its depth, with 12 players seeing action and 11 scoring points.
Junior guard Nehemiah Pollard led all players with 24 points on 9-for-11 shooting and backcourt teammate Malachi Miller added 17 points on perfect 6-for-6 shooting while going 4-for-4 from beyond the three-point arc.
Redshirt freshman guard Anthony Canales recorded a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double in 21 minutes and freshman guard Dennis Johnson III added eight points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Sophomore forward Trevor White also reached double-figures in scoring with 10 points. Junior guard Louis Grante-Halliday filled up the stat sheet with five points, five assists and seven rebounds. Leading scorer Aidan Rice tied for the team lead with five assists and scored eight points in 19 minutes.
Langara (out of Vancouver, B.C.) was led by 15 points by Patrick Robinson (6-for-10 FG) and 12 from Aaron Ungprasert.

The Vikings (5-6, 1-1 GNAC) are back in action with a pair of non-conference games next weekend traveling to Las Vegas to host The Great Western Shootout. WWU will play games against Colorado Mesa (Friday, Dec. 19) and nationally ranked Missouri S&T (Saturday, Dec. 20), with both games scheduled to start at 4:30 pm at the Coyote Event Center on the College of Southern Nevada campus.
