ABOUT THE VIKINGS…the No. 9 Vikings (3-1-0) take a two-game winning streak into a pair of road matches this week, traveling to Denton, Texas to take on Texas Woman's University (2-1-0) on Wednesday (7 pm CT) and then opens Great Northwest Athletic Conference play at Concordia (3-0-1) in Portland on Saturday (7:30 pm).
LAST WEEK…the Vikings went 2-0-0 last week, gaining home victories over Holy Names (4-0) and 7
th-ranked MSU Denver (2-1)…WWU trailed 1-0 against MSU Denver, until sophomore midfielder

th-ranked Vikings beat then 6
th-ranked St. Edward's in Austin (9/16/15).
ROAD WARRIORS…the Vikings are 1-1-0 on the road this season and went 12-1-0 in 2017, with their only defeat coming in the West Regional final at UC San Diego…the loss at UCSD snapped a 23-game winning streak in games played away from Bellingham…
dating back to the 2012 season (last six seasons), WWU is 61-9-6 (.842) in games played on the road (away/neutral).
HALLQUIST NAMED GNAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK…senior defender
Taylor Hallquist has been named the GNAC Defensive Player of the Week after recording a goal and 2 assists last week…Hallquist played 153 of 180 minutes in WWU's 2-0-0 week, and leads the team with 6 points this season (2 goals, 2 assists)…this is the second GNAC weekly award for Hallquist (9/25-10/1/17).
DOMINATING THE GNAC…the Vikings have won five of the last six GNAC regular-season titles and each of the last three GNAC Championships titles…are 60-1-6 (.940) vs. GNAC opponents dating back to midway through the 2013 season…had a 64-game unbeaten streak vs. GNAC opponents snapped last season in a home game vs. Concordia (10/28/17)…went 58-0-6 from October 2013-October 2017, with the unbeaten streak vs. conference teams ranking 2

THE NATIONAL POLL…the Vikings moved up two spots to No. 11 in this week's
United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II poll…mainstay in the national polls since the 2012 season, earning final rankings of #13 (2012), #3 (2013), #17 (2014), #3 (2015), #1 (2016) and #8 (2017).
HISTORIC STREAK…the Vikings established a program and state of Washington collegiate record with their 39th consecutive victory on Oct. 26, 2017 at Northwest Nazarene…the 39-game winning streak broke the previous record of 38 consecutive wins set by the 1982-84 Vikings (10 games in 1982, 14 in 1983 and 14 games in 1984)…the streak is 4
th-longest in NCAA II history and the 40-game unbeaten streak is tied for 4
th-longest.

POSTSEASON SUCCESS…the Vikings have made six consecutive trips to the NCAA Division II Championships, with last season being the eighth overall in program history…own an all-time 15-7 record in NCAA Championships play…crowned national champions after in 2016 with a 24-0-1 record, capped by a 3-2 victory over Grand Valley State in Kansas City, Missouri…WWU has served as a first and second round host in each of the last five seasons.

th with 14 shutouts…allowed multiple goals in a game only 9 times over the last 6 seasons (since 2012), combining for a .427 GAA average during this 140-game span, with 90 shutouts…WWU has featured the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year five of the last six years.
CHARTING SUCCESS…dating back to the start of the 2013 season (the last six seasons), WWU women's soccer has compiled an impressive 102-8-7 record for a .900 winning percentage (.9017)...during this 117-game span WWU has won the GNAC regular-season four times, combining to go 58-2-4 (.938) in league play, and won three postseason GNAC Championships…amongst all Division II schools, the winning percentage since the start of the 2013 season is 3
rd-best in Division II, narrowly trailing Grand Valley State (116-9-5/.9115) and Central Missouri (107-9-5/.9050).
GNAC CHAMPIONSHIPS…the Vikings made it a three-peat winning the 2017 GNAC Championships for the third consecutive season, earning the GNAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships…advanced to the championships final with a 2-0 win over Seattle Pacific and claimed the title on a golden goal in the second overtime, 1-0, against No. 1-seed and host Concordia…advanced to the league championships final in each of the six years of the event, building an undefeated 10-0-2 record in championships play, with titles in 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017.
DISTRIBUTION…6 different players have combined to score WWU's 8 goals in the first 4 games this season…the Vikings had 13 different players score a goal last season (8 with multiple goals), which followed the 2016 national championship season where 19 players scored at least one goal.
SCORING MACHINES…the Vikings scored 55 goals last season, 8
th-most in single-season program history and ranked 9
