Coached basketball for seven years and baseball for four seasons at WWU
His 1959-60 hoop squad made program's first appearance at NAIA National Tournament (19-8), winning both Regional and Evergreen Conference titles
Directed baseball team for four years and two Evco crowns
Named Whatcom County Sports Personality of the Year (1961)
Inducted into four athletics Hall of Fames, including WWU, Central Washington, Highline CC and Northwest Washington Athletic Conference
