  • His FHS team won Class AA state title in 1992. Golden Eagles placed 2nd in 1988 and 4th in 1979.
  • Won 244 varsity dual matches. Coached 61 state placers, including 19 state finalists and 8 state champions. Coached 141 league placers and 135 regional placers.
  • Coached Washington High School Wrestling Cultural Exchange Team that toured Japan in 1978 and Germany in 1979
  • Northwest League Coach of the Year in 1989, 2000 and 2002
  • 1995 Washington State Coach of the Year - Presented by National Federation of Interscholastic Coaches Association
  • 1995 William Tomaras Award for Excellence in promotion and development of wrestling in Washington State - Presented by Washington State Wrestling Coaches Association
  • 1996 Washington State Wrestling Man of the Year - Presented by USA Wrestling Magazine
  • 1996 Stan Drisco, Paul Rieman, Bo Campbell Award for outstanding contribution to the development of Washington wrestling - Presented by Whatcom-Skagit Wrestling Referees Association.
  • 1996 Region Eight Coach of the Year (representing Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming) - Presented by NFICA
  • 2002 Puget Sound Grappler Society of Excellence Award
