  • Coached golf for 18 years, football for six years and track & field for two years at WWU
  • Taught in physical education department for 23 years
  • Directed Viking golf team to six NAIA District 1 titles and two national tournament appearances (placed 16th nationally in 1964 and 17th in 1980)
  • District Coach of the Year six times
        Was the head football coach at Whitworth College (now University) from roughly
         1952 to 1956, leading the team to a "Golden Era" with a 32-9-1 record (included 20-                 game winning streak) and four Evergreen Conference titles. He achieved undefeated             seasons in 1954 (8-0) and 1955 (9-0), and was inducted into the school's Heritage                   Gallery Hall of Fame.  He also served as athletic director and track coach.
